New Regime in MCESA!

At our December meeting, Jude Porter stepped down as president of our organization. As she stepped down, Robin Kessler was nominated and elected unanimously. The transition was gracious and done with smiles and thanks on both sides. Matt Tommasino remains our Vice President, Nina Kiliszek our treasurer. Wendy George stepped down as Secretary to make way for Michael Kessler.

Jude saw us through some tough years. She lead the organization during the Covid lockdowns, found us a home when the library no longer suited the club's needs, and was always organized through the chaos of running a mineral club. Jude has promised to help Robin along in the upcoming journey; in return many thanks are given, with likely many more to come.

Robin immediately went to work, organizing an officers meeting to get everything in order before the January meeting. Matt and Robin volunteered two gifts, leftover from the exchange, to go to Jude in recognition of her leadership and sacrifice. So far, MCESA seems to be in good hands. Already we have an official e-mail and a website to host our public information. There's been talk of outreach and increased community involvement, along with digital upgrades.
